What time should I arrive for our booking?

Please arrive 30 minutes before your booked in session so we can brief you on the game play, show you to your room and have you playing as soon as possible.

However, you're welcome to arrive earlier than this to give you time to try our Hijinx Hotel cocktails, drinks and food before you play!

PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, due to the nature of the games at Hijinx Hotel, we are unable to accommodate late arrivals.

Can we eat and drink during our challenge room experience?

No. Food & beverage can only be purchased and consumed at our bar area. You can enjoy all that Hijinx Hotel has to offer before and after your play, with ample indoor seating or even head on over to Holey Moley, the best mini golf, par none.

Do I need to book to play at Hijinx Hotel?

It is recommended that you book your Hijinx Hotel experience online.
A total of 15 people can be booked online, with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 people per challenge room.

Is there a minimum age to play?

Hijinx Hotel is suitable for everyone over the age of 5.

What are the session times?

One challenge room experience is a total of 30 minutes.

How much is a challenge room experience?

Monday - Thursday:

Can my group book separately to split payment?

Unfortunately due to the nature of our room sets and booking system, your group will not be able to play together if each person places a separate booking. To ensure that you and your friends are all placed together, please make sure you put everyone in a single booking.

What should I wear?

Some of our challenges require you move around the room to score as many points as possible within the time limit. Because of this, we recommend you wear clothes that you can comfortably get active in. We're not talking a marathon, think more like a vigorous game of musical chairs.

Sorry, you might have to leave the ball gown and high heels at home for this stay!

Why is a liability waiver required?

A liability waiver is a standard requirement for immersive and interactive experiences like Hijinx. It helps ensure guests understand the nature of the activities, including any inherent risks, before participating. 

It also allows us to keep a clear record of who has chosen to participate and acknowledged those risks, which supports both guest safety awareness and responsible operation of the venue.

Why do I need to sign a waiver for Hijinx?

Hijinx involves physical and interactive gameplay experiences. While we design our games to be safe and enjoyable, participation still carries some level of inherent risk. 

Signing a waiver confirms that: 

  • You understand the nature of the activities 

  • You are choosing to participate voluntarily 

  • You acknowledge the general risks involved 

This ensures all guests are informed before taking part and allows us to deliver the experience safely and responsibly.

What if I don’t sign the waiver, or cannot obtain every parent’s details for their child to sign the waiver?

Signing a waiver is strongly recommended for all participants. 

  • For adults, you may still be allowed to participate without a waiver, but you will be doing so at your own risk, and staff will encourage you to sign as best practice.  

  • For minors (under 18), a waiver must be completed by a parent or legal guardian before they can participate. 

If you are organizing a group booking, we strongly recommend sharing the waiver link in advance so all required parties can sign ahead of time to avoid delays on arrival.

Do I need to sign a waiver each time I attend your venue?

In most cases, you will not need to sign a waiver for every visit, as waivers can apply on an ongoing basis once completed. 

The waiver is designed to be continuing in nature, meaning it can apply to: 

  • Your current visit 

  • Future visits within a defined period 

Each visit is considered a reaffirmation of your agreement. Your signed waiver will be emailed to you upon completion and you can show our team at reception a copy, otherwise they can also find your signed waiver in our system 

However, you may be asked to re-sign if: 

  • The waiver terms are updated 

  • A review period has passed 

  • There are changes to the experience

How can I sign the waiver?

Once your booking is complete, you’ll receive an email with a link to your unique waiver code. You can share this link with any attendees in your group. Alternatively, you or your attendees can sign the waiver on the day using a QR code or our kiosk tablets. If you already have a booking, simply locate it via the QR code or tablet and sign the waiver directly against that booking.

How can I get a copy of my signed waiver?

After you sign the waiver, a copy of the signed document will be emailed to the address you provided.
